About Us
With its marina and yard for both sailing and motorboats, the Blue Dolphin in Fiumicino is an ideal nautical centre for all sailors in Rome, Lazio and beyond.
Active and present on the sacred river next to Rome since the 1970s, in 2013 the Dolphin Shipyards were taken over by the architect Giuseppe Ricciardi, who has been passionate about boating since childhood, and was then transformed into the Blue Dolphin, as it remains today. With foresight and confidence in the future, at the end of 2016 he passed the baton on to his son Domenico Ricciardi who, with great entrepreneurial passion, invested many resources in order to transform the Blue Dolphin into a safe, pleasant and complete nautical hub with all the services that the modern boater can desire.
A Benefit Company is a way of doing business that combines economic and financial objectives with the aim of having a positive impact on the society, the community and the environment. It is a tool that allows us to make a commitment to implementing and continuously respecting the social responsibility that should be present in every sustainable and innovative activity. Blue Dolphin is also a pioneer from this point of view, as it was the first Benefit Company in Lazio within in the nautical sector.
The facilities are divided into a sailing club for hospitality in the water, a nautical yard for all boat storage and technical maintenance services, a shop for paints and nautical items and a food & beverage area including a restaurant overlooking the quay and a terrace on the Tiber, as well as other exclusive administration services.
Every year, the Blue Dolphin re-affirms its status as one of the main nautical business in Lazio by continuously investing in people, plants and equipment, collaborators and its local community, the Municipality of Fiumicino. In this regard, the company generates an income for over ten families and is the main ally for the well-being and happiness of its employees, as well as a partner with proven seriousness, ethics and precision for all external suppliers.
The Staff consists of professionals in the field of boating and catering who have been successfully operating in their respective sectors for years and have fully embraced the corporate mission promoted by Ricciardi: to introduce more and more citizens to maritime life and boating with engagement, safety, quality, openness, transparency and sustainability.
